February 28th marked the first time APAA held free public try-outs for players. The turnout was good, which motivates us to continue developing players. Several players have already been selected to play for APAA and are now registered to pursue their passion and grow in their favourite sport.
We were also encouraged to see the families and players who attended. Naturally, some players were more talented than others, but the goal is to give everyone an opportunity.
APAA continues to develop players and coaches, which is what motivates us every day.
We will continue to provide updates as the Johannesburg Academy League begins this weekend with its U13, U14, U15, and U17 categories. Sixteen teams will compete this year, including six new teams.
