The work that must be done in APAA will always be the priority of the coaches who are responsible for developing the players. Most of the coaches come from Soweto and other neighboring townships where many of them only continue with the knowledge that they copy, either by local coaches, TV, internet DVD etc., since there is not a proper soccer library in the country where the coaches can go to daily to read about South African football, to make revisions, review files etc., that is why it is essential first to educate what football development is, then the stages that are followed to develop these players depending on their ages.
The phases that follow are from 5 years and onwards, so the work of each one increases, as does the duration of the internship. In general, there are many things that must be taught and inculcated, there is a great difference where they come from, but with the satisfaction that mostly they want to learn is about football.
The program that is carried out in APA has several phases according to the months that progress, it is very important.
The equipment that is used is basic, increasing each month, as it is known, you have to continue studying.
The practice days are on a Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, the coaches always arrive before starting, especially on Tuesday and Thursday, where at 1pm we meet to talk, exchange ideas and see the improvement of the players, we focus on the technical development, which is the most important thing. correcting is the most priority, each player must improve in there technical training, which is essential and then continue with each the tactical part, which is the playing position, its functions in attacking and defending, and other elements.
The Goalkeeper coach also has an important role in every sense since they always work separately from them but they must work together to know how the team works in general.
Coaches also include the educational part and the behavior of the players on and off the field.
Family is very important; their support is vital.
I want to congratulate my coaches for this work of the year 2022 as well as the administrative part. The mentioned coaches are NHhanhla Sithole, Lebogang Mokoena, Karabo Leepile, Maditja Lakaje, Pleasure Petros, Khethukuthila Ntshele, Sabelo Zamisa, OJ Tshabalala, Velly Mayaulane, Nkosikona Mokwena, and Sithembiso Sibaya and our Physiotherapist Kamohelo Sebastian the administration with Ricardo Rosillo. The technical team mostly lives in Soweto and Dayton
There are coaches who have been in APAA for several years and new ones. APAA does not develop players but also coaches.
Hoping that next year we will continue to progress in the same way.
I will keep reporting
