APAA Nears the Successful Conclusion of Its 2024 Activities with Faith in God

As 2024 draws to a close, we at APAA are proud to wrap up another year of activities with the unwavering enthusiasm that defines us. We remain committed to developing players and coaches and fostering a sense of community.

Our goal and vision have always been to provide a space where players come to the academy with the hope of becoming better athletes and reaching higher levels. This aspiration remains central to our mission, and with God’s blessing, we continue to achieve these goals year after year.

We consistently remind our players and their families of the patience required in their development journey as they work toward reaching new heights.

On December 7th, during our usual schedule, we will host our annual closing ceremony. On this special day, we will present each of our academy players with their technical evaluations, reflecting on what we have implemented throughout the year. Players will also receive merit certificates in recognition of their participation.

Additionally, we will honor the achievements of the teams that reached the finals of the Greater SAFA LFA Cup. Our U10 team, which competed in the final, will be recognized with medals and a trophy. The reserve team and development players will also receive medals based on their positions in the league standings.

As I always emphasize, winning is not our main priority—it is a part of the development process. Nonetheless, the great effort, commitment, and determination demonstrated by all will be celebrated. Coaches will also join the players they have guided throughout the year.

We remain steadfast in our mission to work with communities across the country. The honor of collaborating with families and guardians of players, starting from the age of five, forms the foundation of our developmental approach. Soccer not only nurtures talent but also unites young players in pursuing their dreams of becoming professional athletes, all while balancing the importance of education.

Soccer is a passion that inspires many, steering them away from negative influences. We emphasize essential values such as health, hygiene, nutrition, dedication, sacrifice, effort, responsibility, honesty, and respect—always prioritizing the importance of family.

APAA will continue to keep you informed and share the achievements we accomplish within the football and broader community in Johannesburg and South Africa.

Warm regards,

Prof. Augusto Palacios
