Nothing brings joy and excitement when you dreams come true.
We all strive for one thing and that is whatever we touch turn to gold. And for that I am one of the fortunate ones as my dream of unearthing rough diamonds to gold was further enhanced when two of my products, Azola Tshobeni and Lungile Makambi are now part of Amajimbos, South Africa’s national under 17 squad that is doing duty in the 2017 COSAFA Cup currently in Mauritius.
By representing the Augusto Palacios Apprentice, the two youngsters have demonstrated the academic believe that we pride ourselves in developing youngsters who in turn will be world-beaters.
They proudly follow in the footsteps of Lyle Foster who has bulldozed his way into Orlando Pirates’ Thabiso Monyane, Letheba Mazibuko, Simiso Bophelo and of course Kopano Thantshane the GK . and also these players was in the previous U/17 National team
gives one the greatest joy money can buy.
Over the years, the Apprentice has managed to achieve and grant results because of the working relationships we have with these players’ parents.
They have managed to show what parenteral love is to their children and as father figure to most of these boys; I can boldly say we are on the right track.
Having shown that is not about money but the passion that the apprentice thrives on, we have a successful formula earmarked in producing more gifted and hard-working players who some of them are part of the country’s national teams.
My love for development, ensuring that my players get decent education, are role models and stay away from drugs and alcohol makes me proud to be here in South Africa for the past 33 years now.
Having produced stars who went and made a name for themselves, I still want to edge the parents to help me in realizing our dreams of leaving a legacy in the country when it comes to development.
With PSL stars such as Kaizer Chiefs defender Lorenzo Gordhingo and left back Pentjie Zulu, the Augusto Palacios Apprenticeship will continue to thrive for development and based on the true story of these boys that development & progressing every I am a happy man.
See you next week to continue talk the beautiful game.
