Last Saturday, November 9th , the development teams in their category U13, U15 staged the last competition that is the Academy Cup in the Soweto League with two winning results that was the U13 with a 2x 1 win against UJ Academy and the U15 won against the Prestige academy. Very well played matches from start to finish. I would like to thank all the relatives who were present who encouraged and motivativated the players in all divisions very grateful at the same time the mothers were able to give lunch and refreshments to all the players with the money that came from parents who could make donations towards the event which was very motivating.
After all the matches, the closing ceremony was handed over with the awarding of trophies to the winners of the cup and of the league and medals to the second finalist such as those that were second and third place in the league.
I would like to congratulate and thank the President of the association Mr Phil Mogodi and the Secretary General Peter Thutsane for the dedication and organization and the other people who are part of the league who gave the necessary help to make everything a success, even the relatives of other teams also. There presents made it a sporting day where you could observe the passion and enthusiasm for football. Also congratulations to all the coaches who did a good job, from very early they were preparing their teams, well done.
Everything we do is for the benefit that we continue to develop players from an early age and their dreams can crystallize someday of being a professional player but without neglecting there studies since there is no guarantee that everyone will become a professional player.
This was a good year now that it is over, we get ready to start in 2020.
