The academy continues with the success of developing players from an early age and that over time they reach there highly competitive level.

Now it was is the opportunity for Azola Tshobeni, an 18-year-old player who was developed in the APAA since he was 14 years old, two years he has been with the APAA and now he has been promoted to Orlando Pirates Fc. At the age of 16 where he played in the Gauteng Future Champions U17 competition, then he travelled with Project X Orlando Pirates, he did  two seasons in the MDC Dicky challenge, representing his country in the U17 National team.

With Azola we have now added 5 players who are from APAA who where also promoted to Orlando Pirates and have all reached the professional team like. Agustin Mahlonoko, Mbulu Siphumelele, Lyle Foister, Thabiso Monyane and Azola Tshobeni, all these players were at Palacios Academy from an early age.

We are very proud of them and congratulate them and their families and wish them all have a bright future.

Saturday 23 January 2020 was a special day for me and my academy observing the good performance that Azola had with his good technique, distribution, intelligent passing, creating a goal opportunity and hungry to play to be his first game and play outside of JHB and against a tough opponent like Maritzburg is was a high intensity match.  Azola since you arrived at the academy, I knew that you would reach this level and you did not disappoint. I am very happy with your desire to succeed and receive the advice and with your individual work logically with the discipline that you have always shown.

Continue to fight with your humility since You will have to take your family to another life status since your family always support you in everything as well as the people who are close to you in the neighbourhood and colleagues that growing with you.

You live is going to change now that you are in another level and now you need to following the instructions of the technical team and of the professional team. The best of luck in your future I will always be there for you when me, every game play be persistence and consistence to be able to always be considered in the first 11 of each game, no fear you will make your name and the fans will know how to recognise your work and effort,  give everything on the field with a lot of heart and fight never to fall, you have to be strong at all times since soccer will bring you good and bad moments , continue to respect your fellow teammates , technical team and all those who are part of the family from Orlando Pirates FC especially the opportunity that Dr Irvin Khoza gave you to wear the Orlando Pirates colours.

Now is your time to shine and be the example for all Palacios academy players who will see you as a role model and will try to copy your success and that nothing is to difficult or impossible.
